Refugee Guitars Orchestra Concerts

Refugee Guitars Orchestra, founded and directed by Omar Alkilani, is a vibrant musical project uniting a diverse group of refugee musicians. The orchestra blends traditional and modern music, celebrating the universal language of music. Since its establishment in 2019, it has showcased the talent and cultural richness of its participants. In 2024, the orchestra performed four live events in Istanbul, including two concerts at YOLO Art Center (one of which was sponsored by Ettijahat, a cultural initiative that supports independent artists in the Arab world.) Additionally, the orchestra performed at the SAMS (Syrian American Medical Society) conference and Istanbul University.
